“Seizing Libya’s economic opportunities in light of the new global economic transformations” is the focus of the workshop that started yesterday in Tunis and brought together representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Ministry of Communications, the Ministry of Finance, the National Council for Economic and Social Development, the National Planning Council, the Misurata Free Zone, the Free Zone By Marisa Benghazi, Department of Urban Planning and Customs Department, and presented by Mr. Kevin O’Connor, global economist and investment expert.On the first day, the participants discussed and assessed the current economic situation in Libya and analyzed regional and global economic trends to identify new opportunities available globally. On its second day, this workshop will address many topics, including the best locations and sectors in North Africa for doing business, statistics and trends of foreign direct investment in North Africa, and best practices for foreign direct investment to attract investment to Libya.
